June Whites canvas print by Jane Thorpe. Bring your artwork to life with the texture and depth of a stretched canvas print. Your image gets printed onto one of our premium canvases and then stretched on a wooden frame of 1.5" x 1.5" stretcher bars (gallery wrap) or 5/8" x 5/8" stretcher bars (museum wrap). Your canvas print will be delivered to you "ready to hang" with pre-attached hanging wire, mounting hooks, and nails.

Artist's Description
Two native plants that bloom at end of May into June are annual favorites to paint; the tall Yucca spikes of creamy blossoms, and Matilija Poppies (the 'fried egg' plant) with their crisp white 'crepe paperlike' petals and 'yolk yellow' centers. A study in June whites. These two natives are close neighbors in Eaton Canyon.
About Jane Thorpe
Jane was born and raised in Stratford, CT. Her father was a self-employed commercial artist who worked at home, which gave her access to both supplies and encouragement. She moved to California in 1973. Jane has been an artist all her life, working in different mediums and working at a variety of commercial art jobs. She earned a degree in Fine Art and says there is always more to learn. She started plein air painting in the 1980s in watercolor. Since 2010, she has focused on plein air painting in oil. She finds that all the mediums she has worked in, all the jobs shes held, all her life experience, all contribute to this latest passion.
