June is Lavender Season. This was painted the first week in July at the Highland Springs Resort in Cherry Valley, CA. You can check it out on their website. www.hsresort.com. 10600 Highland Springs Avenue, Cherry Valley, CA 92223.
Jane was born and raised in Stratford, CT. Her father was a self-employed commercial artist who worked at home, which gave her access to both supplies and encouragement. She moved to California in 1973. Jane has been an artist all her life, working in different mediums and working at a variety of commercial art jobs. She earned a degree in Fine Art and says there is always more to learn. She started plein air painting in the 1980’s in watercolor. Since 2010, she has focused on plein air painting in oil. She finds that all the mediums she has worked in, all the jobs she’s held, all her life experience, all contribute to this latest passion. ARTIST’S STATEMENT: The challenge for me is to capture a snapshot in time with...
