Description

North of Las Vegas, this National Conservation Area usually has high winds which makes it a challenging place to paint. I stayed an extra night after the "Plein Air Roundup" to paint here on the way home. There was a welcome breeze, and a parking spot! from which to paint under my CR-V's hatchback. There's a lot of hiking along these trails this time of year, before the heat of summer. The hikers provide needed scale to the landscape.
